During the week of January 8, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued the RTA 1 Capping Operation.

Concrete mattresses were delivered and placed along the bed of the canal to create an armor layer. Mattresses were placed north and south of Union Street.

Grout lines were laid for upcoming grouting operations.

Divers were utilized to assess underwater conditions.
