Progress Update, Week of August 17th, 2026

During the week of August 17, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued RTA 2 Bulkhead Support System installation operations.

Bulkhead installation continued at the 6th Street Turning Basin. Installed sheet piles were backfilled and cut to final grade.

Bulkhead installation continued at the 7th Street Turning Basin. Installed sheet piles were backfilled.

Bulkhead installation continued near 3rd Street. Drain outlets were installed.
