Progress Update, Week of February 14th, 2022

During the week of February 14 the Gowanus Remediation Team continued In-Situ Stabilization (ISS) north of the Carroll Street Bridge. Additional probing of the sediment was conducted in the vicinity to identify possible obstructions.

At Degraw Street the GRT continued mobilizing equipment and preparing the site for tieback installation. A closure sheet was installed at the bulkhead. Please note, there will be a partial street closure in place on Degraw street between Bond Street and the Gowanus Canal while this work is ongoing.
