Progress Update, Week of May 11th, 2026

During the week of May 11, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued RTA 2 Bulkhead Support System installation operations.

Bulkhead installation continued at the 6th Street Turning Basin. Installed sheet piles were backfilled.

Bulkhead installation continued near Bond Street. Tiebacks were installed. Drain pipes were installed.

Bulkhead installation continued near 9th Street. Drain outlet covers were installed.

Bulkhead installation continued at the 7th Street Turning Basin. Sheet piles were installed. Tiebacks were installed.
