Progress Update, Week of May 5th, 2025

During the week of May 5, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued RTA 2 Bulkhead Support System installation operations.

Bulkhead installation continued at the 4th Street Turning Basin. Grout was placed. Site restoration was performed at completed bulkheads.

Bulkhead installation continued at the 7th Street Turning Basin. Grout was placed.

Bulkhead installation continued near Bush Street. Sheet piles installation was completed. Preparations were made for upcoming tieback installation.

Bulkhead installation began at the 6th Street Turning Basin. Obstructions were removed. Preparations were made for upcoming sheet pile installation.
