During the week of October 20, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued RTA 2 Bulkhead Support System installation operations.

Bulkhead installation continued near 9th Street. Grout was placed. Bearing plates were sealed. Sheet piles were installed and cut to grade. Drain outlets were installed. Backfill was graded. Site restoration continued.

Bulkhead installation continued near 3rd Street. Tiebacks were installed. Grout was placed. Drain outlets were installed.

Bulkhead installation continued at the 7th Street Turning Basin. Tiebacks were installed. Drain outlets were installed.

Bulkhead installation continued near Bush Street. Tiebacks were installed. Grout was placed.

Bulkhead installation continued at the 6th Street Turning Basin. Tiebacks were installed. Drain outlets were installed. Preparations were made for additional upcoming tieback installation.

Bulkhead installation began near 12th Street. Obstructions were removed. Sheet piles were installed.
