During the week of October 21, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued RTA 2 Bulkhead Installation operations.

Bulkhead installation continued near 6th Street. Preparations were made for upcoming tieback installations. Sealant was placed behind the new bulkhead.

Bulkhead installation continued near 3rd Street. Sheet piles were installed. Backfill material was placed behind the new bulkhead. Sheets were cut to design specifications.

Preparations were made for upcoming bulkhead installation near 2nd Avenue. The timber fender system was removed.

Assembly of a temporary floating platform for the tieback operation continued at the staging area.
