The Pilot Study performed in the 4th Street Turning Basin was successfully completed December 2018.  Following which, the Gowanus Remediation Team incorporated the results and lessons learned from the Pilot Study into the design documents for the remediation of the Remedial Target Area 1 (RTA1) which was eventually completed in 2020. The Gowanus Remediation Team continued advancing the design throughout 2019 as well as completed the contractor selection process for RTA1 construction.
