During the week of July 31, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued the RTA 1 Capping Operation. Capping material was placed between Union Street and Carroll Street and between Carroll Street and 3rd Street.

During the week of August 7, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued the RTA 1 Capping Operation. Capping material was placed between Carroll Street and 3rd Street. Additional material was placed manually between Union Street and Carroll Street and.

During the week of August 28, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued the RTA 1 Capping Operation. Capping material was placed between Carroll Street and 3rd Street.

During the week of September 4, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued the RTA 1 Capping Operation. Capping material was placed between Carroll Street and 3rd Street.
Equipment and materials were staged for the upcoming transition from capping with the low velocity spreader to excavator-based material placement.

During the week of September 11, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued the RTA 1 Capping Operation. Capping material placement was completed using the low velocity spreader barge. The low velocity spreader barge was demobilized.
Capping material placement will continue using an excavator. This week the excavator was used to place material between Butler Street and Union Street, and around the Union Street Bridge abutments.

During the week of September 18, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued the RTA 1 Capping Operation. Capping material placement continued North of Union Street.

Capping material was also placed around the Union Street Bridge abutments. Equipment was mobilized to place additional material between Union Street and Carroll Street.
