During the week of October 7, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued RTA 2 Bulkhead Installation operations.
Bulkhead installation continued near 6th Street. Piles were cut down to final elevation. Preparations were made for upcoming tieback installations.

Bulkhead installation continued near 6th Street. Preparations were made for upcoming tieback installations. Newly installed sheet piles were surveyed.
Bulkhead installation continued near 3rd Street. Sheet piles were installed. Newly installed sheet piles were surveyed. Existing drainpipes were extended.
Preparations were made for upcoming bulkhead installation near 2nd Avenue.
Mobilization began at the staging area for tieback operations. Assembly of a temporary floating platform began.

Bulkhead installation continued near 3rd Street. Sheet piles were installed. Backfill material was placed behind the new bulkhead. Sheets were cut to design specifications.
Preparations were made for upcoming bulkhead installation near 2nd Avenue. The timber fender system was removed.
Assembly of a temporary floating platform for the tieback operation continued at the staging area.
