Progress Update, Week of August 3rd, 2026

During the week of August 3, the Gowanus Remediation Team (GRT) continued RTA 2 Bulkhead Support System installation operations.

Bulkhead installation continued at the 6th Street Turning Basin. Installed sheet piles were backfilled and cut to final grade.

Bulkhead installation continued at the 7th Street Turning Basin. Installed sheet piles were backfilled and cut to final grade. Tiebacks were installed.

Bulkhead installation continued near Bond Street. Installed sheet piles were backfilled.

Site restoration was conducted near 3rd Street.
